Who is Blair Hrovat

Blair Hrovat has been a college football coach for over 20 years and high school coach for 5.  He has coached at every level of college football - Division I, II, and III.  He has been the offensive coordinator at each stop and head coach at the division III level and high school.  He was a record setting QB in college - ranked #2 nationally.

Where has he coached?

He coached the number one offense in the conference at San Fransisco State, record setting QB's at the university of South Dakota,  Career Passing leader at Allegheny College, and a top 20 QB in div 1A at Indiana state.  He also coached top RB in the country at Allegheny College, career leader in touchdowns at University of South Dakota and the career reception leader at Allegheny College.  And in only two years at his current high school - has coached the season and career leaders in every passing and every receiveing category, while maintaining a balance between run and pass.

What does he know about the Wing-T?

Blair played QB in the wingt offense in college under Dennis Creehan, Gerry Gallagher, Malen Luke and Tom Herman.  He then was Dennis Creehan's offensive coordinator for 8 years.  Blair has played in the wingt and coordinated the wingt for over 30 years.  And he did this under the most respected coaches in the wingt outside of the original Deleware gang.  What ever he knows is a direct result to these aforementioned coaches.  He also learned under Bill D'Ottavio, a not so well known but Wing-t master.

How has his experiences shaped his wingt philosophy?

Blair coached in Division 1AA where he installed the spread offense with some wingt run game.  This along with his no huddle attack offense as a head college coach as shaped some of his original views.  But the most noteworthy change was his change from college to high school.  He has learned the difference between some of the clinic talk we hear and he gave, to the actual front lines of high school football and all the challenges that brings to the table.
